The Triple Rock isn't as full as it should be yet, but who knows if it will fill much more at all. These "bands on the rise" render raised eyebrows at the mention of their names, not excited squeals. The stage is working hard for any attention; its bulky background insulation, relying on last-hope duct tape to stay together. Speakers dangle ominously over the edgy crowd, kept in place with restrictive, contradicting chains. The lonely microphone tries to get over its stage fright, but all our eyes glare, waiting for someone to sing behind it. HowYou're Looking for a Legend,


Wednesday ShadowsThe adventure from my stifling tar driveway to Sandy Hills Park always had a different feeling, depending on whose shadow stood beside mine on the pavement. Today's shadows danced along the crackling sidewalk in giddy anticipation to the tune I now recognize as that of a Wednesday afternoon.
